Mr. Martin has served middle market companies for over 20 years, providing both investment banking and turnaround and restructuring services. Successful investment banking advisory work includes sell-side, buy-side, capital raising and refinancing transactions. Mr. Martin also has extensive experience assisting companies confronted with financial distress. He has implemented successful turnaround strategies, distressed sale transactions, refinancings, and orderly liquidations and asset dispositions. Mr. Martin's expertise covers a wide range of industries including manufacturing technology, automotive supply, building materials, information technology and business services.

Prior to joining Amherst Partners, Mr. Martin was a commercial banker with Michigan National Bank where he managed transactions for clients ranging from start-up companies to billion dollar multinational corporations. His commercial banking experience included the funding of working capital, equipment, real estate, leveraged buy-outs and resolution of non-performing loans.

Mr. Martin earned a MBA with high distinction from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University, graduating magna cum laude. Mr. Martin is a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) and member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI).
